College Football Coach v1.4 Release + Updates

Better late than never I guess....

I released the latest major update to College Football Coach: Career Edition at the beginning of November and it's seen a lot of positive feedback with some negatives.

The biggest complaint is that previous Saves were now incompatible with the new version. This I apologize for, but it is a sacrifice I had to make for advancing the features of the game. The old saves were no longer formatted to work with the new features of the game.

The other major drawback is that I set the Android compatibility to newer Android OS's only and only allowed it on phones with at least 2GB of RAM. This was mostly a decision to avoid headaches. MANY of my negative reviews, emails and support issues were related to users complaining that the game ran slow. Unfortunately, due to the amount of simulation data and the amount of teams in College Football, the game requires significant processing speed and RAM allotment to work well. Phones that are older and slower just don't run well with this type of game.

With the new UI change, which was designed to match Android's style guides and feel more like most Android apps, the game required some new SDK elements and that also required me to abandon some older phone devices running outdated Android versions.

Along the way, I found several bugs which were fixed and added a couple new features from the initial release. Hope you all enjoy it!

  3. When I try to load a saved game and I press on it, it will not load. It just takes me to the home screen. Did I do something wrong when saving it?

  4. I really like your app, and I have these ideas that would be awesome additions to game.

    1. Position change option- where you could have DL and LB be able to switch if you have too many good ones at one position and not enough at the other; same goes for CB and S switch... similar with offense where RB, WR, and TE could all switch positions. dunno about the QB.

    2. Having an option to convince the JR talent to stay one more year with the squad instead of declaring for the draft. with team prestige, coaches reputation, and playing time at his position having a direct impact on his decision.

these additions would make an already awesome game even better in my opinion.

    thank you for your time.

  5. It will be great if there is a transfer portal to pick up transfers.

  6. Multiple schools might try to recruit a same guy. A recruiting battle will be nice and close to real life.
